The Royal Wedding

Oh what a lovely morning.

Catherine looked resplendent in McQueen by Sarah Burton.

Such a wonderful day for love, Britons and fashion.

Iconic no?

Here's to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! Congratulations. I wish you a long and happy life together. I truly do. Your love does seem true.

I hope to talk about it more next week. So much more to say!

Lisa Jane Photography

And so last but certainly not least the lovely Lisa Brown. As you may have seen from the past two days Bean and I are two very lucky people with rather attractive friends. (How have we attracted such hotness? Can I pretend they are all just hideously photogenic and in real life they are monsters? No?!)

Lisa, who recently got married herself (oh how I want to see her pictures already - epic is the word which springs to mind - trust me, epic) So this girl knows a thing or two about cool. Oh her wedding dress.

Anyhoo enough about Lisa's lovely wedding and back to me. (Can you imagine me actually saying that? Yikes, how incredibly self absorbed!) How about back to her camera, instead? Lisa had some very nice things to say about these pictures. So nice that she almost made me cry. In public. She was so much fun to work with. The naughty giggle says it all really! Fabulous at working you into the shot she wants but equally as talented when it comes finding that moment in the crowd.

Lisa Jane Photography has a few days were she may still be available this year so please do get in touch with her. (Do say I sent you - I need the props so I can blackmail her into letting me see her wedding photographs asap!)
What do you think?

Yes to the wellington cuteness!

Gosh, we really love each other!

Love this shot. The dappled light is perfect.

Thank you so very much Lisa.

Until next week folks. Enjoy the Royal Wedding. There may be tispy tweets. So do follow me @annaandthering

If you do follow me, come say hello. I really don't bite.

Tarah Coonan

And so to speak about the wondrous Tarah Coonan. This lovely lady offered her services because she recently was shooting a wedding in which the snow caused super chaos leaving the mother of the bride stranded in her car and having to get out and walk. (Another clever couple who will get a "second wedding" although so people could not make it to ours - shall we go for a third?)

I also happen to know she is rather busy organising her own wedding in the milliseconds she has free so she knows and understands about all those little details which you have toiled upon. However, she is most definitely a people photographer. I'm not sure I even noticed her most of the day. She appeared to pop up and capture sweet and intimate moments without anyone noticing. That isn't to say doesn't enjoy directing you for a great shot. She is very happy to "gently" work you into the perfect frame!

Oh and girl knows how to work the lens flare. Even in the pathetic February "sun" I simply adore our outside shots. The way she uses light seems to add a epic flavour to her work. Although perhaps I am biased? Do let me know!

Tarah is talented. She has the eye. She is going to go far. I know that she is already very busy this year but she is still available on a few dates so please do check with her. If she is free you really will not be disappointed. (Do let her know I sent you - that way I can convince her to take me with her when she offers her time to take photographs for the local RSPCA rescue cats' centre.) Tarah Coonan Photography for the win!

Our cute little party invites - do you like? I will explain the little rhyme soon!

Hand piped for your eating pleasure.

Oh Paddington

Love this little shot.

This is very anna and Bean.

I look dubious but I do love the feel of the shot.

Adore the diptych - this will definitely be one for the album!

 He be lovely.

A beautiful, delightful young lady.

A certain young man became slightly enamoured by a certain couple's twins and I adore another certain gentleman trying to freak out impress his daughter and wife by "Transforming!"

You just do not get fabulous photographs like these by chance. Tarah is truly talented.

Thank you Tarah. Thank you so very much.

Lucy Stendall

The wonderful Lucy Stendall. Where do I begin? These posts, whilst relatively wordless, have taken me an age to write. I have no idea why. I just wanted to find the right words to express how much I am in debt to some very talented ladies. Lucy is certainly no exception. When I first received her CD of images I was almost wept with happiness. I was so incredibly moved by the photographs she managed to capture in the tiny amount of time we had together.

When I first sent out the tentative missive asking for a lovely photographer to come and help us document our little wedding redux, Lucy was one of the first to respond. Her sweet email made me grin from ear to ear. It is just nice, when people are truly nice. I cannot emphasise this enough. In a world where fake is sadly still king, Lucy shines out in her beautiful demeanor and attitude.

I was already in email contact with this lovely lady because she had said some rather lovely things about me and I insisted I should take her out for cocktails.* I believe she still has a hankering for an espresso martini and I fear she may turn this berry girl into a coffee lover too.

I should show you every last one of the pictures Lucy took because I honestly adore each and every last one. She is so easy to work with. She seems to instinctively know where to be to take that picture. A true reportage photographer who loves to work with the moment. With the time pressures of the day, people arriving, the February "sun" fading and my mother we are so lucky and honoured that she could take such treasured photographs. Thank you, Lucy, for being a wonderful photographer from the bottom of my heart.

If you were thinking about booking Lucy, I believe her calendar is filling up fast (obviously) but you really should check her out if you are in need of some beautiful memorable wedding photographs. (Do tell her I sent you - I desperately want a ride in her MG!) Oh, and whilst she is based in the Middle Lands, she is more than willing to travel.
Here are but a few of my favourites.

How lucky are we?

I love my "old" bouquet perched atop my father's thirty year old (plus a few more years) mixer. The genius of old tech (which I think he fished out from a skip?) is that it worked with my iphone. Bonanza.

Paperself eyelashes are freakin' awesome. I cannot recommend them enough!

To have a shot of our rings together makes my heart happy.

Trying to be graceful atop a fallen log.

Far more like our natural selves.

The guard cat.

He is yummers.

Slightly worried that people may not come.

Yay people and more importantly, smiles!

Such a gorgeous photograph of a certain Savoir lady

The tights, the tights!

I just adore the moments she had captured. We are so lucky. So very lucky.

*Please, cocktails soon. I very much owe you a very large espresso martini.
