fantabulous etsy friday - to tear thy garter from thy craven's leg

Now, I am not sure I understand garters. (I fear traditions may be a whole other post away from the prettiness).

Yet if I were to purchase a garter it will surely be one of these beauties!

Oh hark, even the etsy shop has the cutest name - Florrie Mitton.  Named after her great grandmother.  How sweet!  The attention to detail, the designs, the sweet vintage feel and even the box.  It makes me feel all gooey inside!  And yay she is a British Etsy seller.  Evenmore wondrous!

  1. Oh those are lovely. I think I might wear a garter, but there will certainly be no garter removing at the reception. I really don't want everyone seeing that much of my leg thank you very much!

  4. O asked me the other day - What is a garter for? Errr just to look pretty. I told him that he needed to take my garter off with his teeth in the middle of the dance floor at our wedding. He went very pale and quiet - I think he might not come. I love making him squirm made me giggle.

  9. Oh, those are lovely. I also had no idea about garters, why they exist etc. But it was fun to wear one. And hopefully if I keep it I can pass it on to someone one day, which will be a good enough reason to have had one anyhow!

  12. I have never seen such delicate, sexy and downright beautiful garters - they look more like pieces of jewellery than a tacky tradition. And echoing your yay for a UK Etsy sellar!
